Here’s a little collection of stuff I’m proud of—some of it was cooked up for grad school assignments, and some of it was battle-tested in my actual classroom.
It’s a mix of lesson plans, videos, projects, and whatever else I could wrangle together that says, “Hey, I care a lot about teaching and I might even be kinda good at it.” Everything here was built with love, caffeine, and probably at least one cat sitting directly on my keyboard.

I created this website to help students in rural Alaska navigate the incredibly confusing world of FAFSA. For many kids here, accessing the right information and support to fill out financial aid forms can feel like an impossible task. This site was designed to break down the process into simple steps and provide local resources to make FAFSA a little less daunting. Because every student deserves a shot at college, no matter where they’re from.
Every week, I write The Husky Howl, our school’s newsletter that keeps families in the loop and adds a little extra heart to the week. It’s packed with important dates, fun updates, and shoutouts that celebrate the amazing students, staff, and families who make our community special. Folks seem to enjoy it—at least if the Facebook comments and emoji reactions are anything to go by. It’s part info hub, part virtual high-five, and all about keeping us connected.
Right now, I’m working on a trauma-informed best practices training for both students and staff—because learning and teaching get a lot easier when our brains feel safe. I’m building it alongside our school counselor, and it’s grounded in modern neuroscience research. We’re dividing the training into topics like brain development, state-dependent functioning, and practical regulation techniques that help everyone stay calm, focused, and ready to teach and learn.
It’s still a work in progress, but I’m really excited about how it’s coming together. The goal is to create something useful, thoughtful, and rooted in the real needs of our school community.
My friend Nicole and I teamed up to create a video explaining the Pebble-in-the-Pond model of instructional design. We break down how this model starts with the end goal (the “splash,” if you will) and ripples outward to guide every step of the instructional process. In the video, we connect it directly to classroom planning, showing how teachers can use this approach to design instruction that’s focused, effective, and student-centered.
Feeding the Machine is a video I created to explore the troubling connection between the over-classification of special education students—especially students of color—and the school-to-prison pipeline. It’s a deep dive into how labeling, bias, and systemic issues can funnel kids away from opportunity and toward punishment. The video pulls from research, real-world data, and personal reflection to shine a light on a problem that often goes unspoken in schools. It’s not always comfortable, but it’s a conversation to have if we’re serious about equity and justice in education.
Not Extra Credit is a reflective video I created about the null curriculum—the things we don’t teach in schools, and how those silences can speak volumes. When topics like diverse histories, perspectives, or identities are left out of the classroom, it sends a message: that those stories don’t matter. This video digs into how the null curriculum can unintentionally reinforce harmful prejudices and limit students’ understanding of the world—and each other. It’s a call to be intentional about what we teach and what we leave out, because every omission is a lesson, too.
